First stop in Bangkok? Let’s visit the Palace! Why not? This is one of the top places to visit in Bangkok. And within walking distance to “Wat Pho” and “Wat Arun” (Wat Arun would require a short ferry ride across the river)…

Wat Arunis directly across the river, and you will be taking the ferry across at a cost of about 4 baht!Wat Arun is much more famous for its stunning views at sunset.  Check out your 10 Baht coin, you will see this temple!Read more

For these three stops, you can start at the one you want…just remember that you need to cross the river and back for Wat Arun!

But if you can finish them all before 1pm, then try the Longtail Boat and Canal Tour. See why Bangkok used to be called “The Venice of the East” and explore its canals and the communities that still live on them.

Shopping in Bangkok?
The non-Bangkok Thais like to visit Bangkok because they want to shop in the Big Shopping Malls. The biggest and fancy shopping malls are in Bangkok, especialy along the BTS line and at Siam (BTS Stations). If you want to try to shop in the malls, you may try Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery, MBK , Central Embassy or Emporium!
BUT if you are in Bangkok during the weekend, don’t miss the weekend market called “Chatuchak Market” or JJ Market as its nicknamed.
