Day2 in Disney Hong Kong and Temple Street Night Market

Today we are going to Disney Hong Kong. Who cares how old you are??? As long as you are all young at heart!

Disney Hong Kong is the nearest Disney to Thailand. So this could be one of the most popular trips for all Thais, and the family…

We got the Disney (adult) ticket at &HK450 or 1,860 Baht or $62US at the B.P. International Hotel tourist service. And again it’s time to take the subway from our Hotel all the way to Disney…

The connection to the Disney Line is at Sunny Bay. When you get off at Sunny Bay station, you will see the Disney only line and it’s only one station to Disney!

There’s just no way to get lost on the Disney Line – you can see all the kids and all decorations inside the train are very Disney!

And once you arrive, you will see the Disneyland Resort, Hong Kong. This is the only way in and out of Disney Hong Kong.

It’s called “Main street USA”, you will see Disney’s shops on both sides of this street – but don’t shop now, keep yourself light for the fun park!

I can’t help it!!! I love all the snacks in Disney!

Especially “Mickey Mouse Waffle”, it’s $HK60 or 250 baht or $8US but it’s so YUM!!!

Good to get something like that big Waffle! And it’s time to take a picture with the Disney Castle – it’s just like the land mark for Disney land.

Disney Hong Kong opened to visitors on 12 September 2005, it currently occupies 22.4 hectares (55 acres); it will be expanded to 27.5 hectares (68 acres) soon.

The layout for Disney Hong Kong looks like Mickey mouse’s head – I think it’s just the right size for Disney lovers – you don’t have to walk too much to get around at Disney Hong Kong.

Anyway, the park has a daily capacity of 34,000 visitors but the maximum record was about 18,000 visitors a day in 2013.

The most MUST SEE for Disney is the Disney Parade. Disney Hong Kong has a daily parade at 1pm, and the best spot to see the parade is the circle in front of the castle.

It’s always a very nice parade from Disney – very fancy features like “Flights of Fantasy”

I think the parade lasted more than an hour but we sneaked out during the show to Adventure Land, thinking that the lines would be shorter when most folks were watching the parade!

Adventureland is the biggest park in all Disney Hong Kong, it’s home to Tarzan!!!

Over here, you can do the Jungle cruise (with English speaking) and visit Tarzan’s Tree house.

We did like the Tarzan’s tree house, I would like to have the house like that

Then we tried to walk to see the other theme parks, like Toy Story Land which is the first new themed land since the opening of Disney Hong Kong in 2005. The themed land will make use of characters from the Toy Story Movies, I’m sure you will like to walk in this park.

We walked through all of the parks but some of the rides I was just too big to get on! It’s almost like the park is mostly for kids! But I did really enjoy the Disney Hong Kong…my 2nd Disney trip!

I think if you would like to enjoy all Disney Hong Kong, the 2 days ticket would be the best option. It’s a lot cheaper and you won’t be too tired!

For me, I have spare time for shopping in Disney Hong Kong. It’s nice and cute stuff from Disney’s characters…

We spent from 10am to 3pm at Disney then we went back to our hotel for refreshment before going to try the traditional massage!

Today, we tried the package for the 50minute foot massage and 30minute head& shoulder at $HK208 per person (860 baht or $29US)

I still like my Thai massage better (harder!) but I really like the way they have warm tea for foot massage in Hong Kong (and China)…

The massage shop is 5 minutes opposite walk from B.P International Hotel, and then we tried to find “Temple Street”(street name) for the Temple Street Night market.

I feel like Thai night market here! It’s cheaper and you can bargain here (it’s really Thai shopping style!!!)

You can find so many souvenirs, Hong Kong T-shirts, goodies and more

Like USB (for computer), it’s too cheap, about 40baht each???

Maybe it’s not the best quality but good quantity here…

Food at the Night market was really good! It’s the most reasonable price for food while we were in Hong Kong.

Well it’s not that it was the fanciest way to sit to eat – but it’s the way I like it! Bring your own wet napkin, you need it after all this food…

It was a good and long day in three different programs for just a day in Hong Kong!

Next will be the last full day trip in our first Hong Kong adventure – we’re going to ride the Cable car and visit the Big Buddha, Read More
