Songkran – Go Khao San Road!

The Songkran festival is known for being a big water fight which will be during 13-15 April every years. And 2014 we go to Khao San Road!!!

Khao San Road is one of the most amazing places I love to visited. It offers you everything, from street food to medium range dining. You could buy cloths, hand made jewelry and other stuff. But it’s more than amazing when you go there during Songkran!

GETTING READY TO GO!

Get the rain suit like my friend!
It’s ok if you don’ to get wet but you want to have fun! During Songkran festival you can’t say just “No No No Water!”…it never worked! Just get the rain suit then!!!

We can’t make it to walk out our street…so be ready every single minute for the water fight!

We took BTS to Saphan Taksin Station (Center Pier), then take the boat taxi to N13 Phra Arthit Pier (see more details about Khao San Road)

We found water re-fill at the pier at 10 bath (water from tap), but inside Khao San Road is about 3-5 bath per bottle (icy water!)

Then we walked into the main road and tried to find our hard way to Khao San road…it’s really hard to move!

Surprisingly…more local Thais than the foriegners here…it’s not that normal for Khao San Road!

what a smart idea! He had the snorkle for Songkran!!!
But I would sugges to get goggle or safety glasses. Most of people likes to shoot water to your eyes, and I dont’ know WHY?!?!?

Or just put the mask on…I like this idea tooooooo!

Get into Khao San Road, it’s security check here – you have to walk-in separately 2 lines – women line and men line…you will meet each other at the end line BUT we lost our gang here!

See how insane inside this road!!!

Laughing Gas???

Just Beers…heat it up!

And just us! We stayed until 7pm (you will get hard time to find taxi or tuk tuk after it’s over about 10pm)

See how mess at the end of Khao San Road…

We got tuk tuk at 300 baht to Ari BTS station. What a nice ride….!

And we got Padthai afterward…nice trip 🙂

For 2014…Silom Soi beated Khao San Road! Silom is properly the largest and wildest crowd in Bangkok. It’s locally known as the largest gay circuit events. But it doesn’t mean I can’t go 🙂

Let’s see another year – Happy Songkran Day!
