All about my trip in 2013

See our 2013 year in review…!

This year (2013) we had a few trips to the beaches of Thailand including “Pattaya, Lipe Island and Krabi”…the most impressive beach for us was…Lipe Island.  Lipe (หลีเป๊ะ) is more of a local beach mixed in with backpackers, and it’s good for SCUBA/Snorkeling, sand and sun.

Krabi was also nice, full of European tourists (I think I was the only Thai that was not working there!). One great thing was we didn’t see any trash around the beach at all. They are also very good about keeping venders off the beach – so no trash, but they did have a lot of monkeys on one end of the beach! The ocean nice with clear water but the tour package was a little rushed for us – we would recommend to do the private local boat, it’s almost the same price but I think it’s more enjoyable! (full story soon)…

Pattaya is easy and we can go anytime we want…just not a great place for snorkeling, but other things can keep you up all night long!! And there are a lot of cool full or 1/2 day activities like Skydiving.  That was the coolest thing all YEAR!

We also went up to the North of Thailand Chiangrai and the Triangle (Thailand-Loas- Myanmar borders)…it’s a nice area to visit, and the December weather was pleasant (17-20 degree in Thailand!).

The tour package included an excellent guide and the driver was perfect for us…Food was good in the North…and I gained a little weight…wait and see all our review soon!

We also had a couple small trips with our gang (Carlos &Candyce, Troy&Candice, Xavier, Dean&Trish, Puy Prissana) around Bangkok (Chinatown, Patpong, Asiatique) this year…

As well as day trips with our special guest “Harrett” to the “Railway market & Amphawa floating market

For outside Thailand, we took trips to Hong Kong, Singapore, and Myanmar.
It’s hard to say which is the best stop for us this year, maybe Myanmar!

Myanmar
is kind of unique and similar to Thailand. But the Golden Pagoda is really big and GOLD! And the Golden Rock (not a real gold) is a magic rock that hangs onto the side of a cliff like it’s about to fall, but it’s NOT!

Hong Kong and Singapore are GREAT stops for SHOPPING…!!!

I prefer the amusement park at Universal Studio in Singapore more than Disney in Hong Kong…I think that’s because I’m a BIG KID!

BIG NEWS in 2013

ECOSYSTEM

Positive growth.

Nature, in the common sense, refers to essences unchanged by man; space, the air, the river, the leaf. Art is applied to the mixture of his will with the same things, as in a house, a canal, a statue, a picture.

But his operations taken together are so insignificant, a little chipping, baking, patching, and washing, that in an impression so grand as that of the world on the human mind, they do not vary the result.

The sun setting through a dense forest.
Wind turbines standing on a grassy plain, against a blue sky.
The sun shining over a ridge leading down into the shore. In the distance, a car drives down a road.

Undoubtedly we have no questions to ask which are unanswerable. We must trust the perfection of the creation so far, as to believe that whatever curiosity the order of things has awakened in our minds, the order of things can satisfy. Every man’s condition is a solution in hieroglyphic to those inquiries he would put.
