I had done a survey around the Slidell area for boat storage yards, so I thought I’d share.

Lakeshore Marina and Yacht Harbor

This is very interesting for “Dry Storage” or as I called it “The Boat Hotel”, a multi-level rack in a completely enclosed building (“barn”) under roof. Each time you want to use your boat, they will lift and launch and then retrieve and return your boat to its bunk with the large marine forklifts.

Honestly, It didn’t get a great rating based on feedback, and there were a few that made comments that were really upset. But we got an offer of $200 a month and it’s kind of what we are looking for – so we might go for this one and then we will provide an update on the service!

Rigolets Marina

They also have condo’s for rent which is about $19,000 a month, fully finished.

Pelican Pointe’ Marina

The Pelican Pointe’ shows up very reviews on Google.  We emailed Gary (the owner) and he offered us $80 a month, so I guess it was on the land (no covered).

When I went there I didn’t meet Gary. But there are many working guys at the site, and they are so friendly – they just can’t tell me about prices.

You can get live shrimp (bait) and launch your boat at Pelican Pointe’ as well.

ROY -(Opposite Pelican Pointe’)

Roy is the owner, he and his family are here more than 80 years and his house is next to his boat slips. I got a chance to talk with Roy and he offered me the best deal 13 months for $3000!

Each slip will have its own hoist and convenient plug to charge the boat.

Roy also has many spots in the parking lot which you can put your boat & trailer at $780 a year, no covered.

To leave the boat with Roy, you will get the free boat launch.

The Docks

The Docks or Robin’s Wharf restaurant.

Tim likes to come here for some beers and dinner, it’s a nice view on the water and has live music during the weekend.

We’ve also launch our boat here, it’s easy and close to our house.

When we go fishing stop here for live bait.

For the boat storage  (without covered), Tim said : They had problems a few years ago when they thought it would be a good idea to use goats to keep the grass down. Finding a goat eating your boat cover upset a few folks. But they fixed all that and there don’t seem to be any issues anymore…”

We didn’t check its price for this.
