3 (+2) Farmers Markets in Conroe, Woodlands and Montgomery, Texas

After our move to Lake Conroe (Texas), we started to explore and check out some of the nearby Farmers Markets, something that we can do during the weekend here. There are 3 of them within a short distance, Conroe Downtown, Montgomery and The Woodlands.

All three markets are every Saturday, about 9am-12pm.

Conroe Farmers Market is a very small one.  We went there on Saturday 3rd December 2022.

There were less than 15 vendors when we visited.

It might NOT be worth it if you have to drive from far away to visit this market, but worth a stop if you were near Conroe downtown anyway.

The Woodlands Farmers Market. We had been told by a random local at the Conroe Market that The Woodlands Farmers Market is big!
We went to check that market on Saturday 10th December 22.

Ah…it’s BIGGER than the market in Conroe, but I would not consider it “big”, but that’s based on markets in Thailand.
The Woodlands Market is about 2 rows of vendors, they are facing each other, we made 2 rounds to check out all the vendors.

Most of the shops accepted CASH, CREDIT CARD and some did Zelle. (Except the Knitting shop that charged me $2.50 for paying with a card without notifying me).

My Husband enjoyed the homemade food, especially Pie and Brazilian Pecan Balls.

Before we walked away, one of the vendors told us that the bread lady at the corner was really popular, and he was right, her breads are amazing. We went to buy some sour dough and Christmas Stollen bread with her right away. And it’s really good!

There are some home decors, plants, veggies. There are not many but it’s quite good enough to spend Saturday morning with family. For us, it’s 30 mins drive from home – so it might be good to visit from time to time but not every Saturday.

Montgomery Farmers Market

Visited Date: Saturday 17th Dec 2022.  This is the nearest one to our house but we visited it last!

The market runs on Saturday 9am – 1pm.

The Montgomery Farmers Market is the smallest of the three markets.

There are only 3 tents and maybe 10 table vendors under the roof.

The market seems famous about the RAW MILK.  And if I’m NOT wrong, the market organizer is the the one who sells the raw milk.

If you want a gallon or more of raw milk, you might have to contact them in advance.  To just walk-in like us, we got to taste the raw milk for free!

We visited the market in December’22, it’s a cold day.  We will come to see the market again in Summer, hope we might see different product/veggies.

Address: 19785 Highway 105 West, Montgomery, TX.

The farmers market is fun to see what the locals have to offer.

If I’m ever successful to grow my Thai herbs here, I may be there to sell it!

JUST FYI: Dairy Milk Raw Farm in Willis, Calico Fresh Market (Nearby Panorama Village)

If you are looking for raw milk, eggs, cheese, kefir, honey etc. This is a little gem for all natural products!!!

The shop opens everyday at 2pm – 6pm.

Today we went out to have our breakfast at Cracker Barrel,  that’s why we found this place!  So we were there when they were not open yet.

But we still can walk around the farm.  We got to talk to the farmers, they are really friendly and informative.

The female cows were loud, they were calling the baby.  But the farmer told us, they needed to be separate.  So they can get the milk.

See? The raw milk is fresh from the udder!

Honestly, we are NOT a big fan of RAW MILK, but we are sure to come back here more for other fresh stuff (it’s only 10 mins from our house).

FYI The guy we talked with, he said the market accepts CASH only.
