Centum City, Shinsegae, Spa Land, Duty Free in Busan

Huge High End Shopping Mall, Duty Free,  The Best Spa (Sauna) in Korea!

The best part of living by Haeundae Beach in Busan was, It’s just about 2 subway stations away from the HUGE SHOPPING MALL “Shinsegae” or known as in Centum City (Centum City Station, Green Line).

When you get off the Subway train, you will see the mall entrances in the underground too (B2 floor).  There are 2 big shopping malls, Shinsegae (left) and Lotte(right) next to each other.

Shinsegae is the High end (Korean) local shopping mall when Lotte is the big brand mall from Japan.   I think I found more imported food products in Lotte more than in Shinsegae (but it depends what are you looking for).

*Grocery Shop in Lotte Mall

I normally come here for grocery shopping.

There are more fresh and high quality than the other mall (Like Emart, Home Plus…)  My first visiting Shinsegae Fresh Mart, I found the watermelon at $300 each!

At B1 Floor in Shinsegae, you will find a variety of food, fast food, snack, drinks (Yes, Starbucks too), bakery- it’s good to stop for lunch or dinner.

My favorite stop would be this shop, rice with Salmon or Rice with beef.  Just too bad, they don’t do the “take-home” order.

Or Tim’s favorite would be Johny’s Rock Burger!

Some Korean Traditional Bakery or food (fish cake) can be found here, and it’s the right place for you to try the local food as well.

The huge mall provides all the items you need but it’s quite pricy.

This is also the most popular for the fashionista, there are so many brand names for all kind of fashions.

If you see “Event Hall” that means they doing some kind of promotion campaign right there.

Btw, Shinsegae provides the free lockers (English user-friendly) in many spots in the mall where I can leave my heavy stuff and then walk to shop some more!

DUTY-FREE!
When I planned for the oversea trip, like going to visit my house in Thailand.  I will take my passport and the flight info to this mall!

*Connecting building on B2 (Same floor when we get off the Subway train).

The duty-free is in the other building (if you come in from the Subway train, you have to walk thru the first building to the next building, connecting on B2 and 3rd floor)

*Connected bridge between Shinsegae mall and Centum City Mall on 3rd Floor

Why I have to shop for duty-free here? why not at the airport?  Because there are more options/choices here than Gimhae airport (Busan Airport).

*Shisegae Duty-Free in Centum City, B1 Floor.

The price would not be different between other duty-free shop but sometimes they do have a promotion at Shinsegae, like I got another 20% discount more from the duty-free price by using Visa Credit card (You have to register your passport at Customer Service first).

There are not only cosmetics that very popular in Duty-free but gadget, food, rice cooking pot, kids, Korean Souvenir, Korean food, purse, shoes, vitamin etc (JUST GO LOOK for it!)

For all imported products, you can just purchase it here but you have to go get your items at the airport.

But for all Korean products, you can pick either take it back with you right away (and you can use it), or pick it up at the airport.

The duty-free shops are quite popular for both local or tourist.  I faced the sold-out items during I shopped too, dang it!

Some Korean product in Duty-free wasn’t the best offer – like the LG Pra. L is much cheaper at Costco (in Korea) and you can buy it anytime you want.

*Date: 31 October 2019

You can shop at duty-free until your departure date!

*Some item in Duty free shop wasn’t that cheap if compare to In-Flight Duty Free.

Ops! I shopped a lot today LOL.

After shopping at Duty-free, I can take the domestic products (Made in Korea) back home with me.

But for Imported Products, You can only collect from pick-up area in the departure area at the time of departure, and cannot be collected after entering the country.
